Connolly & Hickey Historical Architects is an architecture firm that specializes in the restoration and rehabilitation of historic properties The firm provides a full range of architecture and preservation services including planning, stabilization, restoration, and rehabilitation for a variety of cultural resources. Connolly & Hickey has grown steadily since its establishment in 2003 and is currently managing multiple projects throughout New Jersey.
Thomas B. Connolly, A.I.A., and Margaret M. Hickey, A.I.A., are the Principals-in-Charge at Connolly & Hickey Historical Architects. The principals and staff are passionate about historic buildings. They understand that each building has its own identity, characteristics and needs. Our philosophy is that we respond to the needs of the client, the needs of the building, and the needs of our society by promoting a greater appreciation of our historic resources through appropriate preservation planning, restoration and adaptive use.
We take a holistic approach to the restoration of our historic resources beginning with historic research and documentation through to the undertaking of well thought out restoration and rehabilitation plans that take into consideration the long-term use and viability of the resource for this and future generations. We offer our services to a variety of clients including private nonprofit organizations, historical societies, house museum associations, government agencies, religious institutions, homeowners and businesses.
