Thomas B. Connolly, A.I.A.
Thomas B. Connolly, A.I.A. is the Principal Architect for Connolly & Hickey Historical Architects and holds a Bachelor of Architecture from the New Jersey Institute of Technology. Tom has over 25 years experience in the practice of architecture and historic preservation and has a complete understanding of the methodologies and philosophies behind the role of historic preservation in the restoration and rehabilitation of historic properties. Tom takes part in all facets of the historic preservation process and is responsible for the co-management of all historic architecture projects undertaken by the firm. Tom works directly with the client ensuring all of their needs are met during the planning, design, and construction processes.
Margaret M. Hickey, A.I.A.
Margaret M. Hickey, A.I.A. serves as the Principal Historic Preservation Specialist for the firm and is responsible for ensuring projects comply with the Standards. Margaret holds a Master of Science in Historic Preservation from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Architecture from the New Jersey Institute of Technology. Prior to moving into private practice, Margaret served as a Program Officer at the New Jersey Historic Trust where she gained knowledge and experience in fundraising for historic preservation projects. Margaret co-manages Historic Preservation projects for planning through construction and works with clients in understanding the grant processes.
Beth A. Bjorklund
Beth A. Bjorklund is an Historic Preservation Specialist for the firm and works with the other team members on National Register nominations, historic resource surveys, and preservation planning documents including Historic Preservation Plans and Historic Structure Reports. Beth holds a Master of Science in Historic Preservation from Ball State University and a Bachelor of Arts in Cultural and Historic Preservation from Salve Regina University. She is responsible for researching and documenting the history and development of buildings, preparing conditions assessments, preparing National Register nomination, conducting field surveys, developing periods of significance and recommendations for preservation, and assisting clients in the preparation of grant applications.
Mirek L. Skros, Associate A.I.A.
Mirek L. Skros is an Architectural Designer for the firm and is responsible for project documentation, delineation and design. Mirek holds a Master of Architecture from the New Jersey Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Rutgers University. He works with other team members in documenting existing conditions, developing recommendations for restoration and repair, preparing contract documents, administration of construction contracts, and assisting in the preparation of estimates of probable cost.
Tyler P. Jacklin
Tyler Jacklin is an Architectural Designer for the firm and holds a Master of Architecture and a Bachelor of Science in Architecture with a focus in historic preservation from Roger Williams University. Tyler is responsible for documenting and drafting existing conditions, and working with the principals in the preparation of design and contract documents and assisting with contract administration.
Danielle C. Brown
Danielle C. Brown serves as an Administrative Assistant for the firm and is responsible for bookkeeping, marketing, social media, office scheduling, and related administrative duties. Danielle holds a Bachelor of Arts from Kean University in Communication Studies and has past office management experience in the architecture field.
